And don't forget the power of Dua'a.

"O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grevious penalty? That ye believe in God and his Apostle, and that you strive in the cause of GOD, with your property and your persons; that will be best for you if ye but knew." (Surat As-saf, ayah 11)

I know there are more signs (verses) from the Qur'an about giving charity, but this one puts it into perspective in the human terms: you get back something if you put forth something. That simple!
