most Beloved

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, Most Merciful

"Can we forget how he (the Prophet) played with his granddaughter Umamah, the daughter of Zaynab? Can we forget how he carried her on his back while he was in prayer? Can we forget his love and affection for Hasan and Husayn, the sons of Fatimah? Can we forget how he come down from the pulpit when he saw Husayn entering the mosque? The little toddler was stumbling in his long, loose garment, so the Prophet (sallahu aleyhi wa salam) picked him up in his hands and went back to the pulpit to complete his sermon!" [excerpt from Women Around the Messenger]

how then can I surmise his beauty
the mercy of the last Glory,
indeed you're the exalted, ya sayidi
indeed the most beloved, ya habiby.

(Allahuma Sali Alla Nabi'yka wa Habibika Muhammad)
