her legacy

(The following poem I wrote for so many reasons, one of them being to celebrate the amazing nature of women collectively. So this goes out to you...sister, mother, daughter, independent thinker...to you, whose strength measures by the infinite. )

the legacy she has left
and her beauty in manner
speaks of her very well.
--
she is mostly quite, unnoticed
yet invincible in her presence
enigmatic in her actions.
--
little was known of her her heart
much though was said of her
she chooses yet to speak in silence.
--
stand a point she does with silence
she conveys much with it
cloaked like an owl in wisdom.
------
looking up to meet her eyes
i got lost for all my life
for nothing is more precious
than her heart upon the world.
------
though known to her the facts
she still seems to be lost
in her own little heart
nested in her feeble body.
--
God, her legacy shall be known
only to those who heard her
through the song of silence
for what more is convincing
than a truth seen from the heart?
-------
looking up to meet her in the eyes
i am still sort of lost
need to train myself in silence
down the path on the railroad of life.

Peace & Blessings
